Homeowner: Ed Gibson & Pam Bruce
Artist: Margie Deeb
In early 2010, Pam and Ed decided that suburbia no longer matched their life style. As an older couple approaching retirement, they felt that a few more years of wild city living were in order before they became shut-ins. So they sold their big home in East Lake, down sized, and moved to The Stacks.
They have made several upgrades to the original unit, including moving the stairs, adding tile in the kitchen and bathroom, and putting lights on the steel trusses to illuminate the 22’ high ceilings. Their unit has cleverly designed storage units, interesting lighting, and other amenities. An eclectic collection of art from many years and in many styles spreads across the walls. Visit their unit to see how the original mill engine house has been transformed into a warm and inviting home.
