Special thanks to Tom Deardorff who will leading this years history tours.
Tom Deardorff and his wife Lyn, have lived at the Stacks for more than nine years. Part of the reason they bought their loft is because of the wonderful history associated with the Fulton Bag and Cotton Mill. Tom is an avid student of history.
In addition to leading the tours of the Cotton Mill, Tom is a long time tour guide at Oakland Cemetery. He has also led tours of Atlanta and Stone Mountain Park. His tour of the old mill includes some fascinating stories of what went on in the larges cotton mill in the Southeast.
Thanks to the Atlanta Preservation Center whose work is to promote the preservation of Atlanta’s architecturally, historically and culturally significant buildings, neighborhoods and landscapes through education and advocacy. You can visit their website at www.atlantapreservationcenter.com.
