Brandon Morrison is a self-taught Atlanta based folk artist and painter. Morrison showed for three years at the Krause gallery in the Castleberry Hills art district. He spent years traveling and creating music with the rock and roll group Howlies. His artwork is inspired by an intimate connection to his love of music.
His most recent work combines paint on canvas, collage and printmaking. In some of the pieces the music is obvious. Portraits of guitarists and bass players are coupled with raucous canvases that buzz with the energy of rock and roll and sizzle with freedom of a jazz quintet.
