Erica Arndts is an Ohio native expanding her artistry in Atlanta, GA. Life as an artist started at a young age in small town Centerville, Ohio where she found herself drawing pictures of everything from bugs and animals to cartoon characters. High School art class was where she picked up a paintbrush and discovered a hidden love affair with painting.
She took a Fashion Design internship in Los Angeles, CA and never looked back. After permanently moving to California, she attended the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising (FIDM), where she studied Apparel Manufacturing Management. After a few years of working as a fashion designer, she realized that her real passion was painting, so she left the fashion industry, and has become solely focused on her career as a fine artist.
Arndts’ paintings are an ever evolving collection of historical icons, created with electric color and pattern, capturing the essence of an era. Music and pop culture is the main influence and underlying theme in her work.
She had a year exhibit at Jinky’s Cafe in Los Angeles, CA. In 2013, Arndts was asked to paint a Georgia inspired custom guitar, live, at the Big Gigantic concert at the Tabernacle in Atlanta. Her guitar was featured at the 2013 Made in America Music Festival in Philadelphia, PA.
Summer 2015 has been a pivotal time in her art career as she has had the privilege to paint live at Atlanta’s Park Tavern every Sunday night during their Sunset Sessions concert series. In addition to her paintings, Arndts is also a muralist with her latest mural stretching 45’x25’ at Goldin Athletic Training Association (GATA) in Johns Creek, GA.
